LOST

Standing on the stairway in a department store, frantic to glimpse Mom.

Returning from our family’s first trip in downtown Chicago and having no idea which subway would take us to our car

Hearing that a gospel singer who had recently sung a small Baptist church that I attended had been killed in an airplane crash, and knowing that I would have died without Jesus.

Arriving home to utter stillness, without a note to explain my family’s disappearance, certain that I had been ‘left behind.”

Follow Hwy 26 in the middle of Nebraska, only to find ourselves in the midst of a herd of friendly beef cows

Bringing home that tiny, helpless, totally-dependent baby and having no confidence in my ability to care for my first-born

Learning that the lost place inside is a call of my soul to the fullness of God, the only answer to being “found.”

  1. “Learning that the lost place inside is a call of my soul to the fullness of God, the only answer to being “found.”” Amen! He not only HAS all of the answers, but He IS the only answer.

    • Thankfully, I finally learned 2 Timothy 1:7. Here it is in the Amplified

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.”
